Role overview

Permanent full-time role leading South Western Railway's Rail Community Officer team to maintain a safe and secure environment for passengers and employees. Responsibilities include identifying training needs, team briefings, joint operational planning, railway byelaw enforcement, preparing evidence and court statements, patrolling crime hotspots, and working with British Transport Police and local communities to prevent antisocial behaviour. Average 37 hours per week on a rotating roster including late shifts and weekends. Advertised base salary £42,495 per annum plus £2,546 regional allowance. Railway Safety Accreditation Scheme training and police vetting required; applicants must have lived in the UK for the past three years.
