This is an external-entry trainee train driver pathway with GB Railfreight, recruiting towards the start of 2027. Employer role title: Trainee Train Manager - Northampton (Talent Pool). Successful applicants complete a comprehensive training and assessment programme led by GB Railfreight's Training & Standards Department at its Peterborough training school, working towards a Train Driver Licence. Classroom training lasts 15 weeks. Applicants must have passed the Train Driver Psychometric Assessment within the past 5 years, live within 45 minutes of Northampton, be over 21, hold a clean UK manual driving licence and pass a TDLC railway medical. Training salary £28,937 per annum.
